Based on a true story, Into the wild is about Christopher McCandles (Emile Hirsch) who after graduating from Emory University decides that he wants to take a different approach in life. He says: “I think careers are a 20th century invention and I don’t want one”. His decision was influenced by his parents, because ever since he was a little kid he witnessed constant fighting and misery that seemed to be a pertaining force in his parents’ lives. Instead of pursuing a degree in law he gives his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness.

In essence, movie is about the happiness of pursuit, power of free will and the courage to live life on your own terms. While hitchhiking through the US, he discovers real beauty, forms meaningful and lasting relationships, showing us what it’s like to live life truly.

Movie is sensitive yet enticing and there are scenes that you will be never able to forget, especially the one where he quotes his favorite writer while sitting peacefully on a beach while the seagulls fly by. Also, the ending.

There is a lot of personal growth in the movie, so if you are the kind of person that likes to be shaken up, someone who enjoys seeing things in a new way, this movie is definitely for you. As Christopher says in the movie” happiness is only real when shared”, so please share our app with the people you care about and I hope you will enjoy the movie.
